The Aberystwyth Comedy Festival 2025 will return this year from Friday 3 October to Sunday 5 October. It is the sixth year of the festival, bringing laughter and performance to many parts of the town.
During the weekend there will be around 100 individual shows across different venues in Aberystwyth. Venues include the Arts Centre on Penglais hill, the Promenade near the seafront, the Commodore Cinema, and other spots around town.
One of the headline shows on Friday is Stewart Lee vs The Man-Wulf, starting at 7:30 pm, and tickets are priced at £28. Also on Friday there is a two-hour mixed bill showcase hosted by Kiri Pritchard-McLean, with tickets at £18.
On Sunday afternoon there is a special show called Comedy Translates in Welsh, with the comedians themselves providing English translation live. It will last about 75 minutes and tickets cost £12.
You only buy a ticket for each show you want to see. You are free to pick and choose across the weekend. But some popular shows may sell out, so it is wise to secure tickets early!
The festival includes shows suitable for families as well as ones with age limits, so you should check before booking if going with children. Because venues are spread through Aberystwyth, you may need to walk or take local transport between shows.
If you enjoy stand-up, bilingual comedy, or discovering new acts, the Aberystwyth Comedy Festival 2025 promises a fun and varied weekend of laughter across Aberystwyth.
